WhatsApp is set to launch a range of new features with its Android updates. One of the features includes the ability to silence unknown callers. According to reports, the company is testing this feature in the WhatsApp beta update for Android 2.23.10.7. Users can enable the toggle in Settings > Privacy and mute calls from potentially spam numbers. However, the calls will still be visible in the Calls log and notification tab.

New UI with Bottom Navigation Bar

WhatsApp is also testing a new user interface for Android apps that will feature a bottom navigation bar. The feature will allow users to easily switch between different tabs, similar to WhatsApp for iOS. The beta update for Android 2.23.10.6 currently has this feature, but it is only available to select beta testers.

Creating Single-Vote Polls

The messaging platform is introducing new features for polls, including creating single-vote polls, searching for polls in chats using filters, and getting notifications when people vote on polls. These updates will help users gather data and make decisions conveniently. With single-vote polls, users will not be able to change their answers after voting.

Forwarding Media with Captions

WhatsApp users will also be able to forward media with already-available captions or add captions to documents when sharing. The feature is rolling out globally and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks. This will allow users to add captions to documents such as a newspaper article or working document before sharing.

Overall, these new updates for WhatsApp aim to improve the user experience on the platform. The new features will be available gradually to more users.
