As the 13th edition of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup approaches, Disney+ Hotstar has partnered with the International Cricket Council (ICC) to introduce a new feature called MaxView. Aimed at enhancing the viewing experience for cricket fans, MaxView allows users to watch the game in vertical mode on the OTT platform. By offering a 9X14 portrait view, this feature enables one-handed viewing, making it more convenient for users. To further improve the experience, Disney+ Hotstar has added a live feed tab, Scorecard tab, and AI-based video clarity enhancements to its Android and iOS apps.

With the new MaxView feature, users can enjoy the game in vertical mode, allowing them to focus on their favorite player by availing single-player frames. Additionally, a split view option is also available. The live feed tab and Scorecard tab are optimized for vertical mode, along with vertical ad formats. Disney+ Hotstar has also made efforts to reduce data usage while maintaining high-quality streaming by optimizing its app. The added AI-based filter at the backend further enhances the viewing experience on mobile devices.

Convenience and Customization

Disney+ Hotstar understands the importance of convenience and personalization. In addition to the MaxView feature, the platform has introduced an always-on cricket scorecard pill. This allows users to keep track of live games while simultaneously accessing other content on the platform. To make content discovery easier, Disney+ Hotstar has introduced the Coming Soon tray, where viewers can set reminders for upcoming content. Furthermore, the platform has segregated free and paid content, making it easier for users to navigate through the available options.

Enhanced Accessibility for Non-Subscribed Customers

During the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, Disney+ Hotstar aims to provide a seamless viewing experience for both subscribed and non-subscribed customers. The platform will display “free badges” to assist non-subscribed customers in discovering content that is available to them for free. By doing so, Disney+ Hotstar ensures that even non-subscribed users can enjoy the excitement of the World Cup.

Disney+ Hotstar offers various subscription options tailored to meet the diverse needs of its users. The Super subscription, priced at Rs. 899 per year, provides a 1080p experience with advertisements. For an ad-free premium package with Ultra-HD resolution streaming, users can opt for the Premium subscription, priced at Rs. 1,499 per year. Those looking for a more affordable option can choose the Mobile subscription, priced at Rs. 499 per year, which includes ad support.

Disney+ Hotstar’s collaboration with the ICC brings exciting new features to enhance the viewing experience of cricket fans during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. The MaxView feature, along with the live feed tab, Scorecard tab, and AI-based video clarity enhancements, aim to provide convenience and customization for users. The platform’s commitment to reducing data usage and introducing new features like the Coming Soon tray further improves the overall experience. By offering a range of subscription options, Disney+ Hotstar ensures that users can enjoy the World Cup in a way that suits their preferences and budget.
