Snapchat is taking steps to provide its users with increased visibility within the app. The popular photo-messaging platform has recently launched a new feature that allows users to display multiple links on their Snapchat profiles. These links can include their work or direct links to their profiles on other applications. To implement this feature, Snapchat has partnered with Linktree, a platform that enables users to compile various links related to their identities and work on a single page. Users can then simply add their Linktree address to their social media profiles. Linktree took to Twitter to announce this upcoming feature, stating that it will serve as the exclusive link-in-bio platform for Snapchat public profiles, making it easier than ever for users to connect with their followers on other channels.

Increased Visibility and Premium Services

Through their collaboration with Linktree, Snapchat users can expect enhanced visibility on the platform. Linktree has not only promised to provide increased visibility for Snapchat users but has also offered three months of premium services. This premium offering allows users to include additional features on their Linktree profiles, such as email IDs, phone number collection, and even NFTs (non-fungible tokens). This partnership between Snapchat and Linktree demonstrates the growing importance of creator-friendly options on social networking platforms.

Continued Growth and Expansion

Snapchat’s interest in introducing this feature was initially expressed in April, showcasing the platform’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs and expectations of its users. This move aligns with the current trend of social networking platforms capitalizing on the creator economy. In April, Instagram also introduced a similar feature that enables users to showcase their works from various networking platforms.

Snapchat’s user base in India has been rapidly expanding, with over 200 million monthly active users as of May 2023. To further capitalize on this growth, the company has started partnering with merchants in India to establish a local e-commerce ecosystem, leveraging its augmented reality capabilities. In addition to this recent feature, Snapchat also rolled out an interactive bot feature supported by artificial intelligence (AI) earlier this year.

Snapchat’s introduction of a feature that allows users to display multiple links on their profiles is aimed at enhancing user visibility and providing a seamless user experience. By partnering with Linktree and offering premium services, Snapchat aims to support its users’ personal and professional endeavors while catering to the growing creator economy. With its expanding user base in India and ongoing efforts to innovate, Snapchat is well-positioned to maintain its relevance and appeal among its global user community.
