NuRe Bharat Network, led by 3i Infotech, has clarified that it has not yet integrated with Netflix, Ola, Uber, or any other company for its mobile app PIPOnet. The company recently unveiled PIPOnet in partnership with RailTel, which aims to provide various services to railway passengers, including travel, stay reservations, e-ticketing, and entertainment apps.

Clarification on Company Names Used in Presentation

In its presentation, NuRe Bharat Network had mentioned the names of Netflix, Uber, and Ola as partners on the PIPOnet app. However, the company’s CEO, Sax Krishna, has said that these names were only used as examples to introduce the kind of integrated entertainment, travel, and other facilities that PIPOnet will provide in the future. The company has not yet onboarded or integrated with any other company as a partnership agreement is required.

Exclusive Rights to RailTel’s Wi-Fi Services

NuRe Bharat Network has bagged exclusive rights to sell and monetize RailTel’s Wi-Fi services. However, Krishna has clarified that the free Wi-Fi facility will only be provided across 6,109 railway stations and not while commuting.

Revenue Generation Expectations

Krishna had earlier stated that PIPOnet had integrated with Netflix, Uber, and Ola and that the app would be available on Android Play Store in the next two weeks. He had also said that the app would allow passengers to book e-tickets, platform tickets, porters, stay, food, and many other things. Advertisers can also use the app to reach out to passengers, and the company expects to generate revenue of Rs 1,000 crore in the next five years.
