Pune-based SuperGaming’s Battle Stars, an online multiplayer shooter game, is ramping up its localisation efforts with the addition of new playable characters and a map inspired by Mumbai landmarks. At a recent event in Mumbai, SuperGaming announced its collaboration with popular content creator Techno Gamerz (Ujjwal Chaurasia) to introduce a new playable character named “Techno”. The character is modelled after Chaurasia and comes with personalised messages and a unique weapon, as well as a “Techno Quest” objective-based quest.
Patil Character and Mumbai-Inspired Map Also Added
SuperGaming also introduced a second playable character named “Patil”, resembling a Mumbai police officer, and will soon release a female Mumbai-based playable character. The new map will feature Mumbai landmarks and was designed to capture the city’s essence. The game also includes new emotes based on Mumbai lingo.

Roby John, CEO and co-founder of SuperGaming, praised the opportunity for high-quality locally-developed games in India. He said that Battle Stars capitalises on this by playing to the company’s strength in real-time multiplayer and integrating Techno Gamerz to entertain players in-game as well as being a playable hero.

Battle Stars is an online multiplayer shooter game featuring 4v4 battles between players. The game is free to download and play, but players can make in-app purchases. SuperGaming recently secured funding through an investment by Bandai Namco, and is also working on its upcoming battle royale game Indus. Android users can already sign up on the game’s pre-registration page to receive updates ahead of its release.
